We know UN is not going to do anything to protect innocent people, so the US soldiers like Major Gates (George Clooney) and his squadron are the only ones who can help these poor and innocent Muslim people.<br/><br/>Thanks to the American soldiers they could save their lives. Also Mark Wahlberg plays an important role. He says the truth: Michael Jackson changed his color because he wanted to.<br/><br/>George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg are too handsome Americans who make this movie very interesting.
Though David O. Russell chose a subject that has already largely been transcribed on screen, he deserves credit for developing an unusual story and from an angle that stands out from one could have expected, kind of like the more recent Jarhead.<br/><br/>Three Kings mixes up more or less skilfully and ironical aspect and a more serious tone. It is a laudable attempt but the result doesn't match the expectations and this mixture of genres turns out to be counter-productivethe viewer doesn't really know where to stand.<br/><br/>The movie also suffers from a big dynamism problem: it starts well, but once the hour is reached, the script struggles and a false rhythm sets until the final 15-20 minutes where it regains interest.
Visual pyrotechnics and dark humor aside, Three Kings rules because it dares to dig for such truths, whether banal or significant.
